The FitCamp session was great! I definitely sweated a lot, which is a good thing as it means it got my heart racing! I like that it's low impact as that suits me.
It was also fun and friendly and local to where I live.
I would absolutely recommend it to other people, Marlene is very motivating and corrected my form where needed so I didn't hurt myself.

I have done just over a year now of one-on-one PT sessions with Marlene and I can't ever imagine stopping them! In Marlene, I have found not only a PT who knows her stuff but also a friend and a cheerleader who makes me feel good about myself weekly.
In a whole year's worth of sessions, I have never done the same workout twice. Through the use of fitness tests, and listening to my goals, Marlene designs tailor-made programmes that she adapts and evolves as I make progress. So that all of our sessions are exactly what I need for my own personal fitness levels.
She helps push me to achieve personal bests and increase my fitness but always to a level that I feel safe and comfortable with. I end the sessions feeling strong capable and proud of what I've done (as well as being red in the face and dripping with sweat)!
Marlene is also always there at the end of a message if I have a query about personal exercise between sessions, or need some tips on stretching and muscle aches (I am still learning that you can never do too much stretching and mobility along with your strength training)!
I originally started PT sessions because I hated exercise and just couldn't stick to any form of it for longer than a couple of months but I was desperate to lose weight and tone up after having 4 kids in the space of 6 years.
Having the accountability and encouragement of a PT has proven to be an absolute game changer.
Through Marlene's enthusiasm, support and education I have found a genuine love for using/moving my body. I now crave exercise and get so much happiness over how strong and fit I feel.
As an added bonus to how it makes me feel, I also regularly get compliments on how toned, fit and healthy I look.
I have put a lot of work in myself between sessions, but I still credit it, in no small part, to Marlene, because she is the one who taught me to love exercise and kept me going (through encouraging and believing in me, not just shouting at me!) when all I wanted was to curl up on my sofa with a book! ~Louise

This is such a positive challenge with wonderful ladies. I’ve learnt so much about nutrition & how to get the best from my body.
Let me start by saying I don’t do exercise!! Don’t like the gym, can’t run, hate exerting myself😩to the point of exhaustion.
BUT........ During lockdown I found myself signing up to an 8-week challenge!! WHY??? Yes, I said that too!!
The 8 Weeks have flown by - all the routines done in the comfort of my own home, no jumping in my car in the cold to get to a workout studio. And I loved it!! I feel toned, healthier and invigorated!! Plus, I’ve signed for another 8 weeks and I can’t wait!
I'm really enjoying the sessions and give you 5 out of 5 on everything.
I joined as I had put on weight during lockdown and my clothes were feeling tighter! They are now feeling less tight so I can see a difference!
I was also feeling unfit as I work from home so literally, just sit at my desk all day so needed to get some exercise. I'm not keen on gyms so having the classes online is perfect for me. I feel so much better now and look forward to my morning sessions.
If anyone is thinking that they want to get fitter & lose weight & inches & just feel better in themselves, I strongly recommend this challenge. I have just completed my second & can honestly say it’s the best thing I have ever done.

I was sceptical when I first embarked on this journey and it took me a few weeks to believe in the process, but since then I have not looked back.
Whilst my focus isn’t so much about the weights and measurements anymore, the results still speak for themselves
⭐️ 8 weeks ago I had clothes that all fit nicely and now they are all loose, not sure they will last the summer😉
⭐ I have had my first next size down trousers, which is a huge win, we are talking 15 years since I was in this size 😍
⭐️ I then completed the fitness test and was quite overwhelmed with my results
⭐️ I have just completed the 2nd week of C25k, 8 months ago I couldn’t walk to the end of the road without being out of breath!
⭐️ In this challenge, I have really focused on reading self-love books and meditation. Which is really helping me to work on my mindset & mentally much stronger
I have said this before, but for me, these challenges have been life-changing
I never thought that I would have so much fun working out.
I never knew I would be amongst such strong & inspirational women and I never thought I would ever feel so healthy and strong mentally & physically

When I started training with Marlene I’d spent most of the summer training on my own in lockdown. I’d been doing a lot of barbell work and when I went along to her Bootcamp she straight away noticed a weakness on my left side.
Fast forward a few months, it was winter, it was cold and miserable and I’d lost all focus for training. Instead, I just wanted to eat junk and hibernate. I knew I had to do something as although I could hide away in baggy jumpers I didn’t like the changes to my body. So I booked a set of 5 PT sessions with Marlene.
We did an assessment of where I was at and what I wanted to achieve and then a strength workout. It was challenging but fun. Marlene is really friendly and approachable and she knows her stuff. All of the sessions have been brilliant, they are hard work but I was encouraged to slow down, breathe and focus on the correct form. By Christmas, I had completed 4 sessions and I remember trying on clothes and thinking how much my body had changed for the better. I’d lost inches all over, my stomach looked more toned and I felt so much better. Due to lockdown, I completed my final session last night. I’ve still trained during lockdown (largely due to Marlene helping me get my focus back) and by remembering everything she had taught me I am much more balanced, fitter and most importantly stronger. I’d recommend her as a PT to anyone, wherever you are in your fitness journey.
This is no ordinary PT, I’ve seen the results my friends are getting on her 8-week challenge, her bootcamps are great fun and I will definitely be going along to these. Marlene genuinely cares, she put so much time and effort into my training plan and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
I have just completed my second 8-week challenge and the results are amazing.
I have lost weight, lost inches all over my body and feel fitter and stronger than I have in years.
I have learnt more about nutrition and mindset which has been wonderful.
This is the first time I have ever done any sort of exercise program and I was a little hesitant however I have fully enjoyed the progress I have made.
This is not something I would normally share but felt it was so successful for me that I needed to share the opportunity.
I started this challenge with 3 goals:
To maintain my weight loss, to increase my squats from chair to standing and to be able to do floor press-ups and not against the wall.
I completed my fitness session and I am over the moon as I have achieved all 3 of my goals. I have lost 2lb to achieve my goal weight I set myself to maintain, another 1.5 inches have gone away and clothes are loose, I have bought my first belt to keep my jeans up 😂
More importantly, I am fitter, stronger and healthier than I have been for a long time.
Thank you all for the support you have given me led by the amazing PT who introduced me to having fun while exercising Marlene you are a very special person 😘

So when I started this challenge in January I was embarrassingly unfit, I mean walking up the stairs and getting out of breath unfit.
Before Marlene I had never done anything like this, I pretty much haven't exercised my whole adult life and I was scared that I wouldn't be able to do it.
But I have done it, I have exercised 3 times a week for 8 weeks, which for me is definitely an achievement, not only that but I actually enjoy it.
I now find myself running, yes running up the stairs and not being out of breath at the top!
I have lost 6 lbs and I can't wait for the next 8 weeks! Thank you, Marlene
What six months it has been. I just can’t believe it. And the change on the inside is much bigger than on the outside.
I feel strong and healthy and confident. I have done every diet and workout over the last 20 years and nothing has made me feel this great and I’ve never stuck with it for this long. This programme has been an utter revelation to me. I genuinely feel changed, not only physically but also in my mindset and my attitude towards exercise and caring for myself.

What a journey the past couple of months has been. This group has kept me focused probably through the hardest times I have ever had - so thank you!
I have lost 9lbs, 8 inches - which is just unbelievable. I have found body confidence again which feels liberating.
Nothing in my wardrobe feels out of bounds anymore and I look forward to getting dressed up to go out.
As for exercise - I love it
Marlene is an inspiring and supportive PT, she knows her stuff and puts it to practice, working on my form and mobility.
Her group sessions are great fun and you leave feeling really proud and sweaty!
Would highly recommend it!

Round 6 of @fit_with_marlene 8wk_challenge has come to an end today.
I could easily be distracted by what I haven't achieved these last 8-weeks and beat myself up on poor food choices or not doing more exercise (blah blah blah)... but 𝕟𝕖𝕨 me is looking at the future and the positive accomplishments I've achieved.
Not just in these past 8 weeks, but since I started this journey in August last year.
I've learnt so much about myself and formed new habits that I want to continue into the future. My body is capable of doing more than I ever thought it could. I feel stronger and love lifting weights! More importantly, I'm investing time in my self-care and I've started to love myself (and what I'm seeing in the mirror); which is something I've struggled to do my whole life.
Just as Rome wasn't built in a day, my story is yet to be completed! Small steps towards the bigger goal. I'm ready to challenge myself - Round 7 here I come!
